Teaching Philosophy

I am devoted to building a real understanding of mathematical concepts underlying the mathematical methods and equations.  Experimentation, student-led discovery, repetition, and real-world examples are just some of the ways in which I foster learning and build student confidence.

I exemplify responsibility, accountability and hard work, and try to nurture these values in my students. I believe it is important to combine these values with a supportive classroom culture filled with patience, openness, encouragement and fun.  I invest myself in each of my students and am relentless in helping them achieve their goals.

Diversity Statement

Learning best occurs in a trusting environment, and I work hard to nurture acceptance, tolerance and safety in my classroom.
